The City of Syracuse Highland Pipe Band is a family oriented band that participates in various events in the Central New York community throughout the year. You can find us at parades, field days, concerts, the CNY annual Scottish Games, and the Syracuse St. Patrick's Day Parade. Pipe Major Jack Heins formed The City of Syracuse Highland Pipe Band in 2003 for the purpose of entertaining the community and offering instruction to individuals interested in pursuing the art of piping and drumming. If you would like to hire the band for an event or a parade you can contact Pipe Major Jack Heins at for more information.

The City of Syracuse Highland Pipe Band is always looking for new members who are eager to learn the pipes or the drums. There is no experience required to join us as a student, we just ask that you bring a desire and dedication to learn the skills it takes to be in a pipeband. We are currently recruiting bass, tenor, and snare drummers, as well as bagpipers and flag carriers.
We hold an all-band practice once a week, on Tuesdays from 7pm-9pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. St. Paul's is located at the corner of Vine and Hazel Streets in the village of Liverpool, NY.  We invite you to join us and see what we're all about!  Please contact Pipe Major Jack Heins, for more information about our practices.
